The essence of Chinotto of Savona is a precious extract obtained from the fruit of Citrus myrtifolia, a small citrus fruit that represents an excellence of the Ligurian territory and a Slow Food Presidium. Historically considered a "amulet" and a natural remedy against scurvy for sailors, today it is a key ingredient in artistic perfumery and high-quality gastronomy.

Historical and Cultural Significance

Chinotto was imported from China in the 16th century by a navigator from Savona and found the ideal environment to develop unique characteristics in the microclimate of the Riviera di Ponente.
