Laser hair removal uses various wavelengths to target the hair follicle selectively (selective photothermolysis). Choosing the right "wave" depends on your skin type (skin color) and hair characteristics.

Main wavelengths:

• 755 nm (Alexandrite): Ideal for light/thin hair and light skin types. Very powerful but less safe on dark skin. Fitzpatrick scale phototypes I - III.
• 808 nm / 810 nm (Diode): The standard for progressive hair removal. Balances depth and safety, suitable for almost all skin types. Fitzpatrick scale phototypes I - V.
• 1064 nm (Nd:YAG): The safest for dark or tanned skin. Penetrates deeply, targeting blood vessels feeding the follicle rather than just melanin. Fitzpatrick scale phototypes IV - VI.

Multi-Wave Technologies: Advanced devices now combine these wavelengths into a single handpiece:

• Triple Wave (755+808+1064 nm): Acts simultaneously on different follicle depths, making the treatment more effective for various hair thicknesses and colors.
