Mixer

Mixer comes from the English word for "mixer or blender."

• An electrical appliance equipped with one or two rotating whisks, capable of mixing, chopping, and blending one or more ingredients or preparations.
• A blender, often an immersion blender, used to chop and/or mix foods.
• A graduated glass or crystal container into which the ingredients of a drink or cocktail are poured for thorough mixing. The cocktail mixer is complete with a long mixing spoon and a strainer to prevent ice from falling into the glass when pouring the cocktail.
