It is the result of the experience and emotions of two agri-food production companies in the Matelica area: Cantine Belisario and Cooperativa Apicoltori Montani. In memory and in the search for healthy food and wine hedonism, a new way of thinking and making wine has been developed, combining the magic of alcoholic fermentation of must with the sweetening power of honey.

Verdicchio di Matelica must and honeydew honey from the Matelica hills. This synergy has created a new product that takes the characterization of Mediterranean aromatic harmonies to the extreme: the structural body of Verdicchio di Matelica and the complex sensorial fragrance of high-hill honey. Melitites is a sweet, structured, warm, harmonious, soft but never cloying wine, rich in primary and secondary aromas of Verdicchio and rich in the sensorial roundness of Matelica honey. It can withstand demanding aging in the bottle.

It is a wine for dry and powerful cheeses, for dessert, for meditation and chatter, for smoke and music, a midnight wine that can, with the authority of a wine thousands of years old, satisfy and accompany the pleasures of a sweet and powerful wine.
