Description
Multi-flower honey is a true classic. Its production is vast, from the plains to the mountains, and it is harvested from early April until late September. This type of honey incorporates all the characteristics of the land where it is produced, highlighting its floral richness.
The flavor of wildflower honey is also characterized by a strong connection to the territory, which gives it unique and distinctive notes. Wildflower honey naturally tends to crystallize, making it excellent for spreading. Generally sweet, it lends itself to the most imaginative combinations.
Wildflower honey is an ever-changing product, and it's always a surprise to discover the aromas it offers.
Flavor: The flavor is determined by the typical flora of the harvest, which can vary greatly depending on the production area.
Origin: Contrary to popular belief, wildflower honey is not a blend of different single-flower honeys and cannot be "manufactured." It is a honey collected by bees from spontaneous flora and can be truly diverse in both flavor and color.
Harvest season: The wildflower harvest is extensive and varies from region to region. For Friulian wildflower honey, the harvest takes place from May to July, with flavors varying greatly depending on the wildflower honey from the lower Friuli region or the hills.
Processing method: Multi-flower honey crystallizes very quickly; don't worry about this process. It's completely natural and synonymous with authenticity.
Beneficial properties: Since multi-flower honey represents a wide range of wild flowers, it shares many of the beneficial properties of plants: calming, soothing, decongestant, and antibacterial.
Food use – pairings: Thanks to the wide variety of honeys available, this honey can be used virtually anywhere. If the bitter notes are more pronounced, it's perfect for sweetening a hot drink; if the notes are more fruity, use it to flavor a fruit salad.
